LDV eTERRON 9 Electric Ute – Upcoming Australian Model EV
The all-new LDV eTERRON 9 will be LDV’s flagship electric dual-cab ute for the Australian market. Sold under the Maxus brand in the UK the eTERRON 9 will be offered in both single-motor rear-drive (200 kW) and dual-motor all-wheel-drive (325 kW combined) configurations. With a real world range of around 385 km range, top speed of 190km/h and 0–100 km/h acceleration in just 5 seconds for the all-wheel-driver model this LDV electric ute should be more much more capable than the LDV eT60 ute it replaces.

The Nissan Ariya EV is huge step forward in Nissan’s electric vehicle ambitions, building on the near 12 year legacy of the Leaf. The long awaited new EV offering from Nissan is a more premium and technologically advanced offering. This stylish electric SUV is said to be arriving on Australian shores later in 2025, a significant delay since it hit Japanese roads in mid 2021. Riddara RD6 Electric Ute – Upcoming Australian Model EV
The Riddara RD6 is being eagerly awaited in the Australian ute market, unfortunately set to arrive as only a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) ute around 2026 but not the 100% electric version currently on sale in Thailand. The Australian launch of the PHEV RD6 will be a strategic move by Geely in Australia, aiming to blend the efficiency, comfort and better driving performance and power of electric with the a small fossil fuelled engine to overcome the reluctance of Australian ute byers who carry heavy loads or tow to go all electric. The full EV version (sometimes known as the Radar RD6) will come in time however for now Australia will receive a tailored PHEV model designed to meet local attitudes.
