G’day,
With petrol prices skyrocketing, it’s no wonder more Queenslanders than ever are making the switch to electric vehicles (EVs). Now that the State Government has introduced a new $3,000 EV subsidy and a plan for all new cars sold in Queensland to be electric by 2036, curiosity about cleaner cars is at an all-time high.
That’s why Solar Citizens and Charge Ahead are hosting the Brisbane Electric Vehicle Experience: a community event to find out everything you might want to know about electric transport. Chat to friendly EV-owners and check out a variety of vehicles from electric bikes, scooters, Teslas, and second hand EVs, to electric trucks and buses.
You can also check out local EV businesses and community stalls, and hear from interesting speakers – including your local candidates on what they’re bringing to the table for clean transport this federal election.
When: 10am – 1pm, Saturday 23rd April 2022
Where: Victoria Park, Gilchrist Avenue, Herston
What: A free community event with a wide range of electric vehicles on display, friendly EV-owners up for a chat, and informative speakers and stalls
Who: Everyone’s welcome – whether you’re keen on cheaper fuel, electric vehicles, cleaner air, or just want to learn more!
Come along and meet plenty of people up for a friendly chat about why they have or want a cleaner car. Grab a coffee and listen to a range of interesting talks, including EV charging 101, converting petrol cars to electric, and electric cycling.
From Electric Car Australia YouTube Channel – We’ll be there with our 2020 Model MG ZS EV, one of the first to arrive in Queensland, with heaps of practical info about living with an electric car in the Sunshine State. Spoiler Alert – We refuel at home for FREE!
We hope to see you there 🙂
